Welcome to Team Learning Innovations which covers curriculum, instruction, professional learning, and educational technology
The Learning Innovations team coordinates professional learning within UUSD. Professional Learning is a systematic process of support for adult learners, specifically teachers. The focus is on Better First Instruction which is defined as high-quality instruction provided to all students. This results in approximately 80% of students not needing academic supports beyond Tier 1 instruction. Innovative practices include standards, curriculum aligned to standards, differentiation, evidence-based practices, and formative assessment practices.

Connect U is Upand's self-directed professional learning program for all employers. Staff will experience personalized learning with our collaborative, learner centered approach to professional learning where you complete short, micro-learning activities in minutes, anytime and anywhere.
