Referrals or Requests for Assistance may be made by:

• School Site (Administrator, Counselor, School Psychologist, Teacher, Etc.)

• Parent/ Guardian

• Healthcare Provider

• Student (Self-Referral)

All children who are referred to the UUSD Counseling Center who meet financial qualifications will be assessed to determine if they meet clinical necessity for services.

The type, frequency and duration of services provided by the UUSD Counseling Center will be determined on the needs of the student and/or family.

Students who do not qualify for UUSD Counseling Center services will be connected to a local service provider, Care Solace, or a contracted provider within Upland Unified School District.

• Psychoeducation

• Warm Handoffs (referrals) and collaboration with other community resources and UUSD partnerships
