Curriculum and Instruction / Professional Learning
Dana Dunams, Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Welcome to Team Learning Innovations which covers curriculum, instruction, professional learning, and educational technology
The Learning Innovations team coordinates professional learning within UUSD. Professional Learning is a systematic process of support for adult learners, specifically teachers. The focus is on Better First Instruction which is defined as high-quality instruction provided to all students. This results in approximately 80% of students not needing academic supports beyond Tier 1 instruction. Innovative practices include standards, curriculum aligned to standards, differentiation, evidence-based practices, and formative assessment practices.
Libraries: UUSD libraries will provide inclusive and equitable resources and spaces that are technologically and globally relevant centers of learning to students. Here is our Library Collection Development and Reconsideration Procedures.
