Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Academy at Baldy View Elementary
Upland Unified School District's Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Academy at Baldy View Elementary is a Future Ready Signature Program that prepares students for increased career opportunities and cultural competency in diverse workplaces. English-speaking students learn Spanish, and Spanish-speaking students learn English!The instructional day in a DLI classroom consists of 90% Spanish and 10% English in Kindergarten, transitioning to 50% English and 50% Spanish by fourth grade, and continuing through sixth grade. Students committed to the full K-6 DLI program achieve the greatest benefits that come with biliteracy.
