Initiative “Freshmen Success Initiative:
Success For All” Creating Freshmen Success, a task force report presented to the Governing Board and the Upland High School Faculty Senate, identified the need and outlined the key elements of a new initiative to support in-coming ninth grade students for a successful start in high school. The Freshmen Success Initiative (FSI) begins in 2007 at Upland High School for all entering freshmen. Ninth grade students will be taught by a common core of teachers in English, mathematics, science or social studies within one of nine Scottish houses.
